A qualified wet wipe has a shelf life of about 2 to 3 years, but only if the wipes have been in an unopened state. In the process of use, the way wet wipes are packaged will largely affect the life span of the wipes, so it is important to know what kind of wipe packaging will better extend the shelf life and service life of the wipes.

1、 Lid

Unlike the small portable pack of wipes, the larger pack of 60, 80 or even 100 wipes are used more frequently and for longer periods of time, and therefore require a higher level of antibacterial and moisturising power. So how can you better lock in moisture and resist bacterial contamination? The answer is to add a plastic cover above the opening in the wipes pack. The sealing sticker on the wipes packaging loses its stickiness after several uses and cannot continue the sealing of the wipes, which will accelerate the evaporation of moisture from the wipes and shorten their service life. At this point, the wipes cover is like a second protective wall for the wipes, one that opens and closes for ease of use and is not easily damaged, making it the most reliable guardian of the wipes. 

2、 Aluminized film

What if you think that adding a wet wipe lid alone isn't enough? Don't worry, why not try adding a layer of aluminised film? Aluminised film is a composite flexible packaging material formed by using a special process to coat the surface of plastic film with a very thin layer of metallic aluminium. It has excellent gas barrier, moisture barrier, light blocking and fragrance retention, not only has strong barrier to oxygen and water vapour, but also can block almost all ultraviolet, visible and infrared light, which can well extend the shelf life and service life of wet wipes.
